A top law firm is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join their firm.
The Business Development Coordinator supports business development and marketing initiatives, pitch and proposal efforts in the Litigation department, and the development of client relationships and new business opportunities. This position reports to the Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
Participate in planning, preparing and implementing the Business Development Department’s initiatives, including any of the following: pitch/proposal;
RFP responses, cross-selling activities, and promotion of best practices;
Collaborate on key client and industry initiatives;
Support the development and execution of annual business plans for both developing practices and client relationships;
Provide support in the preparation, editing, coordination and dissemination of materials including pitch/proposal;
Maintain and update the Business Development practice descriptions;
Assist in the implementation of seminars and events;
Participate in Business Development departmental cross-training;
Work overtime as required;
Handle additional Business Development and marketing projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree;
At least 1 year of marketing experience;
At least 1 year of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Advanced proficiency in online research and internet resources (Lexis-Nexis and equivalents);
Fundamental proficiency in English language usage, including punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills
