A fast-paced New York Law office has an immediate opening for a Business Development Coordinator.
This position will provide day-to-day support for marketing and business development projects and initiatives for firm-wide Sections, as well as general New York office marketing needs.
This position will report to the New York Senior Business Development Manager. Exceptional responsiveness and a client service oriented attitude is required, as well as the ability to work with a variety of Sections, including Section leadership, firm management, lawyers and teammates across multiple offices. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Strategic Planning and Execution – Liaises with members of the marketing department and with partners on strategy and implementation related to business planning for the Sections this position supports. Assists in the development of individual and Section business plans.
•Pitches/Marketing Collateral – Provides support for client pitches and presentations, RFPs, targeted research, experience collection and maintenance of databases. Assists with drafting practice descriptions and collateral.
•Research – Conducts research related to clients, prospects, industries, geographic markets and trends to help inform and implement Section and office strategic plans. Reviews corresponding data and creates succinct reports that highlight and summarize relevant facts.
•Sponsorships/Events – Coordinates firm-hosted events and sponsorship for assigned Sections and provides on-the-ground support for NY based events hosted by Sections from across the firm. Liaises with co-hosts and sponsor organization contacts to ensure all event/sponsorship opportunities are met. Organizes and oversees related event/sponsorship logistics, including invite list creation, invitation development and distribution, RSVP tracking, catering, entertainment, etc. Coordinates seminar materials, presentations and post-event correspondence.
•Survey Submissions/Directories/Awards – Oversees coordination and submission of survey/directory submissions and award nominations for the purpose of profile raising and visibility efforts. Coordinates resulting website/bio updates and announcements.
•PR and MarCom– Serves as liaison for Section/office requests for support from the PR and design teams, including graphics, public relations, brochures, client advisories, announcements, etc.
•Website/Social Media – Ensures the web presence of assigned Sections and lawyers are up-to-date, including practice pages, bios, social media sites, etc.
•Budgeting – Assists with the development and monitoring of budgets for assigned Sections, as well as the NY office marketing budget.
•Contact Relationship Management – Handles Interaction-related functions as necessary for assigned Sections, including coordinating work on marketing lists, research, reports and tracking, etc. As previously noted, provides support in the preparation of client communications, practice overviews, attorney bios, and pitch and proposal content.
•Collaboration – Coordinates with marketing team members and administrative departments, as appropriate, on projects to improve business development support for attorneys.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

•Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel
•Experience with CRM systems and other marketing tools is a plus
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Qualified candidates must possess a BA or BS
three years of experience in a professional services environment.
Marketing and business development experience for a law firm is strongly preferred.
