Top law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiter to Manage the day-to-day recruiting activities for
associates, counsels and paralegals.
The hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This is an exempt position in the
New York office.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the hiring process of associates, counsels and paralegals, including creation of job
postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, verification of references and
extending offers of employment.
• Actively and creatively source candidates through job postings, advertising, and
networking, use of career services, search firms, and referrals.
• Communicate the onboarding of new hires to Human Resources and provide all necessary
documents for personnel files.
• Request conflicts check for associates and communicate results to partners for clearance
approval.
• Responsible for applicant tracking entries and compliance of recruiting processes.
• Work with the Marketing Department to continually improve the Firm’s recruiting website.
• Perform related duties as required.
Competencies
• Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
• Five or more years of recruiting experience in a law firm or professional service
environment is required.
Education
• A Bachelor’s degree is required. A J.D. is a plus.
