Prestigious law firm in NYC seeking a Maintenance Support Staff member.
Maintenance Support Staff members perform the daily duties as part of the New York Office’s maintenance programs, consistently ensuring quality service delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assemble/disassemble office furniture (work walls, desks, shelving, etc.)
• Repair office and cabinet door hinges, make adjustments
• Install office shelving and floor base molding
• Install office art work and key board trays
• Minor wood refinishing (removal of scratches and worn edges from furniture)
• Minor laminate installation work (replace worn or broken laminate edging)
• Minor ceramic tile work (replacing missing tiles, re-grout worn areas, etc.)
• Paint hallways, offices, etc.
• Support during events and major meetings held onsite to include set-up of tables and chairs, assist clients with decorations and meeting materials, monitor event, clean and restore space to original condition
• Execution of all internal office moves, packing and unpacking of offices
• Maintain copy paper supply for assigned floors
• Deliver and pick up documents throughout firm and respond to all work orders
• Inspect, clean and prepare all conference and meeting rooms
• General maintenance/housekeeping responsibilities
Qualifications/Position Requirements:
• Strong technical skills
• Must be able to lift and move objects such as heavy boxes, furniture and equipment
• Must have general carpentry skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
• Must be punctual and reliable
• Ensure confidentiality of all the Firm’s and clients documentation and information
• Must be available for all internal moves scheduled on Friday evenings, as well as additional overtime on short notice, including coverage on weekends
Education and/or Experience:
• High school graduate
• Minimum of 3 years’ related work experience
