Role purpose
Responsible for coordinating all non-partner recruiting functions for the New York office and support for the NA Economics team’s hiring initiatives. This is a hands-on position that requires the individual to provide proactive and reliable recruitment support to the office and will collaborate with the NA Recruiting Director and Recruiting Manager on recruitment initiatives and provide additional support on NA talent initiatives, as requested.
The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with solid project management skills, strong client service orientation, with the ability to effectively interact professionally with lawyers, business professionals and candidates. Individual will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to work cooperatively with team members across North America and solve problems independently.

Key responsibilities
1. New York Recruiting: Lead recruiting efforts for the New York office, including summer associate, new associate and lateral associate hiring.
Plan and execute the On Campus Interview (“OCI”) process, including:
 Manage and build relationships with law schools and sponsors of job fairs
 Arrange and coordinate OCI schedules and logistics at designated law schools
 Manage interview schedules, development and delivery of collateral materials and training for OCI recruiters
 Arrange and coordinate in-office call-back interview schedules, travel arrangements, evaluations and follow-up communications
 Organize and participate in recruiting committee meetings
 Administer hiring decisions, including preparing and conveying job offers and corresponding communications with hires and candidates
 Coordinate OCI related programs/events, including traveling to on-campus programs/events and job fairs, as requested
Plan and execute summer associate program, including:
 Preparing and discharging ongoing communications with summer associates prior to arrival, including: employment terms/conditions, travel arrangements, housing work assignments and mentor relationships
 Develop and implement summer associate orientation and integration program
 Plan summer associate calendar; Coordinate and execute summer events and activities; Attend all summer associate calendar events
 Provide maximum support to summer associates to ensure their integration and experience at the Firm is of the highest quality
 Serve as a liaison with summer associates to address inquiries or other employment matters
 Work with Region and practice leadership to coordinate work assignments, secure performance feedback and assist in coordinating requisite training
 Secure summer program feedback from summer associates and Firm members, recommend and enact approved changes to the program
 Administer communication of hiring decisions and conducting follow-up administration
Coordinate non-partner lateral lawyer hiring, including:
 Work with Recruiting Partner Director and Recruiting Manager and/or Practice Groups to determine specific recruitment strategies including: developing position profiles, securing requisite hire approvals defining and executing on sourcing plans
 Source and screen candidates for non-partner lawyer positions
 Administer recruiting processes, including: coordinating interview schedules, securing feedback from interviewers and candidates, performing/securing employment due diligence, executing and communicating
hiring decisions and conducting follow-up administration
 Manage non-partner applicants in viRecruit
 Proactively develop and manage relations with search firms on both a national and local level to identify lateral associate candidates for the office

2. Regional Recruiting Duties
 Coordinate all hiring for the NA Economics team
 Organize the on-site coordination of recruiting collateral and any networking events scheduled for the NY LLM Job Fairs
 Assist NA Recruiting Director with North America Regional Summer Associate Meeting preparation annually
 Volunteer to lead a minimum of one recruiting project as it relates to the annual NA Recruiting Action Plan; Volunteer to serve on a minimum of two other regional recruiting projects as a team member

3. Additional Duties
 Develop yearly law student outreach calendar for the New York office
 Conduct research and analysis, and convey relevant findings and recommendations on market trends, recruiting opportunities and Firm recruiting performance
 Administer attorney relocations, housing and bar admission process as required for the office
 Work with the NA Recruiting Director and Recruiting Manager to prepare and ensure compliance on annual recruiting budget for New York
 Prepare management reporting, statistical data, NALP data and survey responses as requested
 Develop relationships with attorneys by participating in meetings, events, etc. as appropriate
 Discharge other responsibilities as determined by the NA Regional Recruiting Director and/or members of office/regional management

Skills and Experience
 Bachelor’s degree required
 Minimum of five (5) years in legal recruiting preferably in a legal services environment
 Proficient with MS Office 2010 (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint); Experience with viRecruit a plus
 Well-developed and sophisticated organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to relate to and gain the confidence of people at all levels within an organization, as well as an
ability to build strong relationships and work in a collaborative environment
 Demonstrable sound decision making, analytic skills and general business acumen
 Must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task in a matrix, fast-paced, professional services environment
