Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Drafting of various legal documents under the direction of attorneys and oversee transaction closings with attorneys by managing the life cycle of documents from inception to closing; coordinate execution
● Manage, organize and track template document suites, precedent, and memorandums
● Harmonize and conform terms and checklists
● Prepare and update financial models and spreadsheets
● Assist attorneys with research by compiling search results, and summarize into formats such as charts or spreadsheets for easy access and dissemination to the team
● Prepare and update status summary reports on various client matters for attorneys
● Communicate and respond with clients per attorney direction
● Prepare presentation materials and assist attorneys with articles and PowerPoint slides
● Liaise with firm staff on behalf of the team as appropriate
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
● 3 years of paralegal experience at a top-tier law firm or reputable in-house legal department or 3 years of business experience
● Highly organized and able to manage sensitive correspondence, draft professional and confidential responses and safeguard highly sensitive information
● Discreet, dependable, highly adaptable and proactive
● Exceptional communication, writing and proof-reading skills
● Team player and able to work independently
● Strong attention to detail and follow-through is a priority
● Must be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently meeting constant time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a professional manner; interacting calmly, patiently, and professionally in challenging situations
● Highly flexible and adaptive to rapid changes in the working environment
● Thinking like an owner with excellent phone manner and client service attitude
● Familiarity with e-signature signing programs (such as DocuSign), a plus.
● Experience with UCC, preparing and filing UCC financing statements, and conducting lien searches and legal research, a plus
● Demonstrates the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical judgment
● Computer efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
