Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Responsible for monitoring AR and WIP through follow up with billing partners to ensure timely billing and collections pursuant to Firm policy;

*Confers with billing partners via regularly scheduled calls / meetings to determine reason(s) for aged AR & WIP, ensure timely billing of WIP and strategize to obtain prompt payment of outstanding invoices;

*Works with management to identify, propose and create solutions to recurring issues affecting the Firm's ability to properly invoice its clients and/or the client's ability to timely pay our invoices, not limited to developing or revising any existing policies or procedures governing the Firm's WIP, billing, and collections policies and procedures;

*Review the status of institutional clients monthly, particularly for delinquent accounts receivable, resolve issues regarding skipped payments and short payments; correspond with the billing partner to determine the best course of action;

*Maintains and consistently updates in detail all interactions with a partner related to their AR and WIP within the Firm's Financial Insights (FI) System;

*Actively and consistently updates management of any potential collection or WIP issues as related to any partner requiring escalation and providing recommendations for resolution;

*Consistently updates and maintains correct client collections contact information via submission to the Firm's business intake department and/or in the Elite system as required;

*Navigate all eBilling platforms effectively to identify any eBilling issues that may be the cause for delinquent payment, and then work collaboratively with the Billing Coordinator team and partner to promptly resolve any issues; Successful candidate will be expected to be well versed in all ebilling platforms including, but not limited to Legal Tracker, TyMetrix, Collaborati, Counsel Link and Passport.

*Coordinates with the Billing and Cash Receipts departments as necessary, assists the Cash Receipts department with respect to unapplied payments;

* Acts as the resource to partners in an effort to resolve any issues hindering payment to the Firm or the billing of WIP

*Other projects as assigned;

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, required

* Minimum of two years of related experience, required

* Knowledge of Financial systems, i.e., Elite Enterprise, Aderant Expert, Elite 3E, Electronic Billing Systems or any other financial system preferred;

* Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Excel and Word

* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of client and office information and adhering to the Firm's Core Values;

*Excellent communication (both verbal and written), and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel;

* Willing to work additional hours (sometimes with little or no notice);

* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines

* Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with high degree of attention to detail(s).
