Job Description:

* Supports implementation of DEI objectives and initiatives, including but not limited to those involving learning, talent development, employee engagement and communications.

* Works with Director to support attorney pipeline initiatives and manage attorney outreach.

* Develops clear, action-oriented project plans and manages internal programming, including DEI learning programs and employee resource group event design and execution.

* Works closely with assigned affinity networks with a focus on planning and managing programming and events.

* Works with DEI team members to design and execute internal conferences and support talent development programming.

* Sustains relationships with key external diversity organizations and coordinates the firm's participation in relevant industry programs and conferences, as assigned.

* Researches industry best practices and other relevant DEI information to support the development of processes, policies and programming that support our attorneys and professional staff.

* Supports the generation of thought leadership content for programs and policies in connection with internal talent development, professional development and client development.

* Stays abreast of local and global trends and innovations in the legal industry related to diversity and professional development, and where appropriate, recommends and implements programs and policies to support talent development consistent with the firm's goals.

* Ensures current knowledge of firm policies and practices for staff, current knowledge of industry trends, and continued professional development for staff.

* Coordinates and oversees department projects, day-to-day operations and long-range plans as assigned.

* Recommends guidelines and practices to promote efficiency, effectiveness, excellent customer service and improved employee relations, in alignment with the Firm's Core Values.

* Develops and communicates departmental guidelines and procedures.

* Ensures accurate and timely responses to requests for departmental services.

* Engages in strategic (i.e., long-range) planning by developing goals and supporting objectives for assigned areas of responsibility.

* Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.

* Manages Firm resources responsibly.

* Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


* Proficient in the relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.

* Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.

* Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques.

* Knowledge and implementation of the annual budget process.

* Demonstrated experience with leading and supervising others.

* Strong project management skills.

* Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.

* Ability to administer firm policies and procedures.

* Personally handles more complex issues/duties requiring independent exercise of discretion and judgment.

* Bachelor's Degree required

* Minimum of six years of related experience in a talent development function, in a legal or other professional services organization, and current in knowledge about diversity and inclusion best practices
