Job Description:

In this capacity, the Analyst, eBilling Rates will:


* Monitor and research status of eBills submitted as related to rates, identify issue and works with colleagues to address rejections and reductions as they arise; update administrative application with current status;

* Coordinate with colleagues and client to resolve unsuccessful electronic vendor rate submissions and collaborates with pricing team to address and resubmit rates as appropriate to eBilling vendors;

* Review Client guidelines against finance application to ensure billing instructions are current and adhere to client and attorney protocol;

* Provide overflow support to billing team members to assist with timekeeper rate submission, rate rejections via eBilling vendors;

* Assist with proposing all new onboarded eBilling clients to electronic billing vendors; knowledge of various LEDES template formats, and can assist billers with navigating the various eBilling vendor sites;

* Analyze historical billing data, client financials, and rate submissions to comply with client engagement and rate agreements;

* Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support pricing recommendations and strategic decisions;

* Monitor pricing effectiveness and make recommendations for adjustments based on performance metrics;

* Partner with finance, billing, pricing and eBilling to ensure pricing strategies are integrated into the firm's overall financial goals;

* Provide training and support to attorneys and staff on pricing strategies and tools;

* Ensure pricing practices comply with relevant regulations and internal policies;

* Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in legal pricing;

* Works overtime as required, in particular at month end and year end; and

* Handles additional billing projects as assigned.



Job Requirements:

Proficiencies:

* Knowledge of various eBilling vendors (e.g., Legal Tracker, T360, Collaborati);

* Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and methods;

* Proficiency in windows and web-based accounting programs (3E preferred);

* Proficiency in Excel;

* Fundamental proficiency in Word and Outlook;

* Organized, professional, analytical and capable of solving problems;

* Advanced financial analysis skills, including the ability to prepare concise reports to assist firm management in assessing the effectiveness and financial impact of pricing proposals and matter debriefs;

* Advanced knowledge of mathematical and basic statistical concepts, including fractions, percentages, and ratios, and the ability to apply this knowledge to large volumes of data to reach meaningful conclusions;

* Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to maintain and track large volumes of data, prioritize workload, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to change;

* High level of attention to detail;

* Ability to learn, leverage, and use additional programs, including budgeting and financial management software;

* Ability to work independently and be proactive; and

* Proven success working in teams, both virtually and in person.


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or related field (preferred);

* At least 4 years of general accounting experience (required);

* At least 4 years of legal eBilling experience (preferred);

* At least 4 years of law firm experience (preferred); and

* At least 3 years' experience with pricing of legal services preferred, including a strong working knowledge of non-hourly pricing models (preferred).
