As a Marketing and Business Development Specialist, you will work directly under the Business Development Manager to support the firm’s strategic marketing and business development initiatives across all practice groups. This role is integral in assisting with the preparation of pitches, proposals, and coordinating various marketing activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to work effectively in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support for Strategic Business Development:

o Assist the Business Development Manager in implementing business development strategies across all practice groups.

o Contribute to initiatives aimed at increasing the firm’s visibility and fostering new client relationships, under the guidance of the BD Manager.

· Pitches and Proposals:

o Collaborate closely with the Business Development Manager to prepare customized pitches, presentations, and marketing materials tailored to the needs of various practice areas.

o Track and analyze pitch outcomes, maintaining data on pipeline, wins/losses, and trends by client type and practice area.

· Event Coordination:

o Coordinate with the Business Development Manager and the Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to plan and execute both live and virtual seminars, client education programs, and other events that support business development objectives.

· Experience Tracking and Process Implementation:

o Assist the Business Development Manager in ensuring that the firm’s experience data is accurate and up to date. Work on implementing a process for the collection and recording of deal and case information to support business development efforts.

· Directory Submissions and Rankings:

o Work with the Business Development Manager to manage and coordinate the submission process for directories, rankings, and surveys across all practice groups.

· Lateral Integration:

o Support the Business Development Manager in the integration of new lateral partners and counsel into their respective practice groups, ensuring a smooth transition.

· Client Relationship Management:

o Ensure that client contact and activity information is accurately tracked and maintained in the firm's CRM system, in coordination with the Business Development Manager.

· Content Management:

o Assist the Business Development Manager in managing and updating practice group content on the firm’s website, including attorney biographies and experience highlights.

o Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill information and research requests related to business development.

· Mentorship and Project Support:

o Work closely with the Business Development Manager to mentor junior staff on best practices in business development.

o Assist in managing various business development projects as assigned, ensuring timely and effective completion.


Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business development, or a related field.

· A minimum of three years of experience in business development or marketing, preferably within the legal or professional services industry.

· Demonstrated experience in developing and preparing pitches, presentations, and other marketing materials.

· Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and implement practical workflows and solutions to improve marketing and business development efforts.

· Exceptional presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.

· Experience working with CRM systems, with familiarity with InfoDash being a plus.

· Strong capability to thrive in a digital environment, with proficiency in using technology and online tools to gather and deliver information effectively.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

· Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with partners and senior management within the firm.

· Outstanding project management abilities, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with collecting, maintaining and updating experience databases and CRM systems.

· Knowledge of directory submissions and rankings processes.
