Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the firm’s Business Development and Marketing managers to identify targeted, strategic submissions for practice, industry and attorney rankings, surveys and awards.
  • Coordinate and draft firm and individual attorney nominations for priority awards.
  • Maintain database of firm recognitions for use in various marketing materials.
  • Organize and maintain firm ranking database with strict attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • Interact with various attorneys to secure required information for awards and nominations.
  • Maintain and manage editorial calendar for awards and submissions.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Marketing team on overlapping submissions.
  • Liaise with media and ranking publications.
  • Maintain centralized media contact lists.
  • Assist in monitoring media coverage of the firm, its lawyers and practices.
  • Support internal communications through the firm’s online mechanisms. This can include drafting content for the firm website, internal firm newsletter, and social media.
  • Update website pages as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Ability to identify survey and media trends, including potential risks and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Education and General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in a communications role at a law firm, public relations/marketing agency, or other professional services environment (e.g., private equity firm, consulting firm).
