Job Description:

As the Marketing & Communications Assistant you will:

  • Monitor, track, and compile media coverage related to the Firm, practices, and partners. Format for inclusion in daily internal news distributions Firm-wide.
  • Assist with database entry of Public Relations activities and produce reports as needed.
  • Maintain and organize various files, spreadsheets, and folders related to items such as directories submissions, Firm press announcements, and other materials.
  • Update and maintain department contact lists, distribution lists, and organizational charts.
  • Handle scheduling and other administrative tasks related to department meetings.
  • Assists department personnel with filing, research, and other administrative tasks.
  • Handle bill processing, order placement, and record keeping department-wide.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

* Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems

* Excellent database skills (mining, entry, maintenance)

* Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing

* Demonstrates close attention to detail

* Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities

* Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality

* Ability to organize and prioritize work

* Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

* Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team

* Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

Experience/Education

* Bachelor's Degree

* Minimum of two years' related experience
