Job Description:

* The successful candidate will need to understand the requirements of Lawyer/Business Services new hires including understanding the tools and practices of the market. He/she must excel at acclimating new joiners firms environment as well as the firm's technologies & practices.

* The role will be responsible for introducing

* Essential technologies such as: iManage, Open, InTapp, Chrome River, Word, Excel, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, and certain practice specific technologies

* How to work with the Client Delivery Group

* How to use Global Document Services

* How to generate invoices (secretaries) and use Chrome River

* How to use Intapp and Open

* How to request assistance with A/V and Teams

* How to access our 401K, benefits and ADP platforms

* In addition, this role will need to run large training sessions in the US with Summer and Fall Associate classes, teaching them technology, tools and best practices.

* The role will not take on responsibilities for tech support.


Key responsibilities and deliverables

* Focus on the technical aspects of onboarding, work with Recruiting, L&D, IT and other internal administrative departments as needed to facilitate successful lawyer onboarding and integration, including conducting orientation and training for new hires on technology and ways of working, weaving in the technical ``how to'' alongside the substantive knowledge of how the firm works

* Work with the Technology Business Relationship Manager to agree on technical requirements for equipment delivery and functionality

* Work with technical support team to minimize technical issues across the US region

* Tailor onboarding agenda to the needs of the new joiner (i.e. Partners will need training that is different than a Summer Associate)

* Serve as a resource to new joiners throughout their onboarding and integration period, liaising with various departments and individuals throughout the firm to answer questions and provide support on best practices/ways of working

* Integrate large number of US Summer and Fall Associate classes joining each year. Will teach these large classes the tools and practices as relates to technologies and processes. Work with Talent, L&D, Recruiting, HR, events and IT to streamline the process.

* They will need to interface with the Information Technology Organization to understand changes underway for IT and communicate suggestions for improvements to courses and onboarding.

* Creation of online content, including new eLearning, training videos, and other online digital content. Responsible for providing learning and development materials relating to key points of document management best practices and for monitoring its overall adoption

* Help to ensure Document Management system is positioned as the Firm's single system of record for client matters



Job Requirements:


Key requirements (Communication/skills/experience)

* Experience as a technical trainer in a law firm

* Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven, and collaborative

* Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

* Strong technical skills

* Ability to work effectively, both independently and with others, in a cooperative and collaborative manner and to provide excellent client service in all interactions

* Prior large law firm experience, including experience with legal-specific software applications a must

* Proven track record in training development and delivery in a large environment

* Experience of working within a blended learning environment

* Flexible in approach and delivery, with ability to translate business requirements through to successful implementation with demonstrable measurable results

* High technical competence and training/support delivery experience in a range of business software including Microsoft Office, MS Teams, iManage, Litera suite, Kofax/Adobe PDF, Remote Access Tools, Mobile Working, legal document production and time management.

* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to resolve issues
