Job Description:

Integral part of the firm’s New York M&A/Private Equity Partner’s practice. This individual will be responsible for handling client and team-driven tasks, working with a fast paced and energetic team. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

· Communicate and collaborate with Marketing and Business Development; assist with drafting all pitch material and RFPs

· Prepare PowerPoint and Excel documents for meetings

· Contribute to the coordination of practice group training events, practice development initiatives and business development efforts

· Researching topics such as market / industry trends and other matters relating to private funds; conduct research for possible new business and speaking engagements

· Assist and track partner’s BD budget; provide monthly updates

· Assist with preparation of presentations and marketing / meeting materials

· Assist the team with project work as needed

· Draft documents; help with case preparation

· Heavy calendar management including scheduling appointments, confirming meetings and coordinating with other assistants

· Assist and manage team meetings; develop agendas

· Participate in team meetings, taking notes, working closely with Partner to proactively manage and prioritize projects, deadlines, reviewing, assessing, routing, answering and monitoring follow-up action steps as needed

· Work with Billing Analyst and client contacts on all billing/collections ensuring team is on target with year-end collections goals

Job Requirements:


· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

· Extensive experience with Private Equity funds including working with lawyers who represent PE funds

· Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed

· Technically savvy in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams)

· Professional demeanor with the ability to remain poised under high-pressure

· Well organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent time management skills and exhibits sound judgment

· Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high volume environment
