Job Description:

Responsibilities:


Work in a team environment to complete financial analyses, reporting, and special projects.

Use software applications to effectively, timely and accurately provide data, reports, and metrics on a weekly/monthly/quarterly and ad hoc basis.

Contribute to the preparation of various presentations for executive leadership.

Produce financial analyses in support of month and year-end reporting as well as strategic business reviews.

Develop quarterly forecasts to project financial performance and cash flow.

Use analytical skills and expert knowledge of business, economics, finance, and accounting to complete complex and routine requests regarding clients, budgets, and overall financial performance.

Work concurrently with the Chief Financial Officer to design financial reports.

Prepare the annual operating budget, which includes 12-month projections of headcount, revenue, and operating expense. Input and manage data in the firm’s budget.

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue and cost and make recommendations.

Collaborate with various members of the finance team to develop and implement cost allocation methodologies that will be used throughout firm performance analyses.

Assist with pricing proposals based on matter performance models.

Complete other special projects as assigned.



Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, and at least three years of experience in financial analyses and/or a closely related field, preferably at a law firm.


Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of financial concepts, statements, and analyses and strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required, as is expertise in Excel modeling and robust computational skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Aderant, and have experience with large datasets and the maturity required to handle highly confidential data.
