Job: Senior Accountant 85K NYC

Seeking a Senior Accountant for a large prestigious asset managment firm. Benefits include a 20-25% bonus, free breakfast, lunch, and gym.

Overview of Position:
As a key member of the accounting department, the Senior Accountant with his/her prior experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting along with strong accounting and analytical skills will be responsible for reconciling investment and separately managed accounts and reviewing expense reports. We are looking for a productive, ambitious, energetic individual with a hands-on approach, who works well in a team environment.

Description of Responsibilities:
• Daily cash and position reconciliations for separately managed wrap program account
• Separately managed accounts reconciliations and fee calculations.
• Review expense reports in Concur for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Prepare and maintain expense budgets for various departments.
• Assist with accounts payable including 12b-1 invoice payments and reporting
• Prepare annual 1099 reporting
• Provide documents for year-end audits
• Provide assistance to team members and management as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of public/private accounting experience in the financial services industry is required.
• Cannot be coming straight from public.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills.
• Experience using Traverse accounting software & Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), preferred.
• Detail oriented and high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills. Duties often include interaction with other. employees/management within the organization and with external vendors to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Possess excellent organizational, planning and overall time management skills. Must be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously and prioritize work.
