Job Description:

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Train with the Paralegal currently in the role to learn first-hand the day-to-day assignments and projects.

• Review, analyze, and generate charts mapping historic multi-million-dollar corporate insurance coverage programs and policies, over multiple years.

• Advise/Assist Attorneys by identifying and pursuing various “missing policy” issues.

• Work with insurance archaeologists and other recovery specialists in the US and UK

• Become acquainted and knowledgeable about long tail Corporate Insurance Recovery Matters, including, but not limited to, Asbestos Bodily Injury Claims, Environmental Property Damage Claims, “Forever Chemical” Bodily Injury & Property Damage Claims, Sexual Victim Act Claims, etc.

• Identify and research insolvent insurance company issues. Send out important claim filing deadline alerts as they arise. If necessary, assist Attorneys in filing complex time sensitive insolvent recovery claims with various state and foreign administrators.

• Track, maintain and report insolvent insurance estates’ periodic claim distributions to affected clients.

• Learn to identify and analyze various parts of insurance policies.

• Maintain multiple corporate client litigation and adversarial matter documents, productions and records.

• Identify key insurance policy provisions and create reference charts for same

• Assist in Trial, Arbitration and Mediation preparation as needed.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications / Experience: •

College /University degree

.• 5 – 10 years paralegal or comparable work experience.

• Strong references

Skills:

• Intermediate (or better) Math Skills a plus.

• Digital organization & maintenance a must.

• Good communication skills with attorneys, professional staff, adversaries and agencies.

• Excellent Internet, Westlaw/Lexis and PACER search abilities.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint

• Be detail-oriented, organized and attentive.

• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

• Willing and able to learn new skills.
