Our client, a prestigious law firm is seeking a Temporary Marketing Assistant.
The marketing coordinator will be a key member of the National Marketing and Business Development
Department and will be responsible for various marketing and business development initiatives firmwide.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent oral, written and proofing skills
along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
 Assist in the coordination of firm events, from planning to execution, which may include inoffice
hosted events, off-site client events and sponsorships. (This may require overtime outside
of regular business hours.)
 Act as primary support for the events team, which includes but is not limited to the creation of
event handouts, venue research and maintenance of internal event tracking lists.
 Support email marketing efforts, including contact updates, development and maintenance of
targeted marketing and event invitee lists and mailings of event invitations.
 Update and maintain website content, including attorney biographies, publications, news,
events and practice group descriptions, as well as marketing-related Intranet content.
 Assist on discrete marketing related projects as they arise (examples may include rebranding of
our intranet, assisting in client targeting programs and/or helping with firm photography).
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least one year of administrative experience is
required; experience working for a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
 Possess a very strong attention to detail.
 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to
achieve results. Requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability to
exercise independent judgment.
 Excellent time management skills and ability to handle a variety of projects in a fast-paced and
sometimes reactionary environment, and the ability to work evenings if necessary to meet
deadlines.
 Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using the Internet is a must. Working knowledge of
email marketing and web technology would be beneficial. Familiarity with ExactTarget is a plus,
but not required.
 Ability to manage more strategic projects but also willingness to get into the details and/or help
with administrative elements of marketing.
