Job Description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Conduct walk-through/site visits of the NY office to identify and address any issues or unfavorable conditions. Review existing processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

* Manage physical assets and ensure the health and safety of all staff.

* Participate in the budget process and monitor/manage expenses within the building services area.

* Liaison between Maintenance/Facilities and its customers, both internal and external, with a goal of improving service delivery and efficiencies. Creating, articulating and implementing management strategies distilled from numerous information services.

* Coordinate office moves for attorneys staff and partners. Work with relevant departments to ensure proper office setup including IT support, maintenance, housekeeping and external providers when needed.

* Manage vendors who provide support for building operations services; responsible for the management of building emergency preparation, mitigation and response.

* Responsible for the building access key database and processes.

* Develop and maintain seating strategy/requests for partners, attorneys and professional staff.

* May assist with the coordination of renovations, refurbishments and construction/building projects.

* Proactively develop sustainable solutions including tracking of data for specific programs.

* May assist with projects and maintenance needs of other firm offices.

* Performs other tasks as assigned.

The responsibilities of this position require in-depth knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and standards, the ability to read blueprints, and knowledge of uniform building codes, fire codes, ADA and OSHA.

The Manager must be willing to work extended hours as needed, and they will also serve as contact for all building related issues for the New York office.

Job Requirements:

The Manager must be organized and extremely detail oriented with strong follow through skills; the ability to juggle several tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure. The responsibilities of this position require a strong team player with a positive attitude, the ability to maintain confidential information, exercise good judgement, make decisions and enforce firm policies and procedures.
Strong Microsoft Office skills along with the ability to present information/data to others.
