Job Description:
Responsibilities
* Provide support with respect to a wide range of business development and marketing efforts, including:
* Produce to deadline tailored pitch materials and proposals, including relevant and compelling firm messaging, experience, and accolades, in line with firm brand guidelines
* Support RFP processes, including liaising with other firm departments
* Liaise with Events team on developing and executing client events
* Maintain BD prospects lists, and track BD efforts, opportunities and outcomes
* Coordinate and support the directories process, including producing draft submissions and reference lists for manager review; tracking timelines, deadlines and researcher assignments; coordinating communications and interviews; and related efforts
* Ensure Energy experience, client lists, matter descriptions, tombstones and client logos are updated and recorded within required deadlines
* Maintain and update pitch templates and practice descriptions, such that materials are available for use upon request
* Run queries and produce reports from internal and external databases, including custom experience lists, and provide support on research requests
* Track Energy accolades
* Liaise with the Communications and broader Client Development & Marketing teams on marketing efforts
* Support additional profile-raising activities from time to time as determined by the needs of the firm
Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Very strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization - must be able to work in a thorough, diligent and proactive manner
Process-oriented with strong time and project management skills; ability to prioritize and work within tight deadlines
Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of firm personnel
Must demonstrate reliability and build trust through consistent performance and responsiveness with attorneys, fellow Client Development & Marketing team members and other firm departments
Must demonstrate critical thinking skills by connecting information across various platforms with comprehension and providing value-added input
Strong writing skills
Knowledge of and experience with third-party databases such as Lex Machina, Bloomberg Law, and CapitalIQ
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat are essential; knowledge of InDesign is preferred
Knowledge of the court system and regulators
Undergraduate degree is required;Energy
3+ years of experience in a BD role in a professional services firm environment; law firm experience in an Energy practice area.
