Client Events Manager
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Manage in person, virtual and hybrid client event planning and execution across firmwide practices from request and concept, execution through post-event communications and reporting
* Organize and manage end-to-end event details, including but not limited to staffing arrangements; registration; transportation; hotel room blocks; gifts/swag, floral and menu selection; audio-visual specs; and other event related logistics as required
* Create run-of-show and process documents in support of all events
* Provide on-site support to ensure the smooth execution of all events
* Manage event technology efforts for in person and hybrid programming, including in-depth knowledge of full production process and audio-visual requirements
* Lead contract negotiation and obtain necessary firm approvals
* Establish and manage internal and external vendor relationships and service levels
* Generate knowledgeable venue options and recommendations, and maintain venue database
* Provide guidance and direction on invitation and material design
* Manage event RSVP tracking and reporting
* Liaise with the firm's Continuing Legal Education (CLE) team to secure credit where appropriate
* Manage post-event communications and reporting
* Maintain event budgets
* Deliver post-event debrief/surveys and generate feedback reports
* Provide support to Client Events Director when necessary
Job Requirements:
Education, Work Experience, Skills
* A four-year degree is required
* 6 - 8 years' experience in event planning and management in a fast-paced professional services organization is preferred
* Experience with running large client off-sites is preferred
* Law firm or other professional service experience are a plus
Technologies/Software
* Experience with InterAction or an equivalent Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system is required
* A solid command of various software applications to produce high-end, professional work product, including experience in Cvent (or similar event software), Concep or Vuture (or similar), PowerPoint and Excel
