Job Description:

Responsibilities


* Develop, plan and create strategic, compelling content to support the firm's business goals and drive consistency in our messaging

* Contribute ideas to help inform content creation, advising on best practice for creating compelling content and establishing efficient processes for ongoing and multi-part projects.

* Daily editing and drafting of communications including deal and case descriptions, practice descriptions, lawyer biographies, website copy, newsletter and brochure copy, and other firm collaterals.

* Review and editing of communications pieces, such as legal alerts and newsletters, to ensure that they are adhering to firm standards, editorial guidelines and policies, including review of: language, spelling, grammar, content flow, redundancies, inconsistencies, fact-checking, and client approval.

* Contribute to the development of new materials, including drafting compelling content, to support firm messaging and strategic business goals to be used across firm communication channels, including digital properties.

* Support departments throughout the firm with their marketing communications needs, including pro bono, diversity & inclusion, recruiting, sustainability and others.

* Support copywriting and editing across both long-form and short-form content.

* Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialist on keyword research using SEO best practices for digital content.

* Create a content calendar to ensure consistent review and updates to existing collateral.



Job Requirements:


Experience And Qualifications

* Five to seven years of prior experience developing communications to support marketing and business development needs in a corporate environment
* Previous experience in a professional services firm or PR/marketing agency is desirable, as is a background in journalism.
* Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university.
* Superb written, verbal communication and editing skills, including attention to grammar, spelling, tone and vocabulary.
* Attentive to details and meticulous in execution.
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects at once and adapt to shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
* Adept at taking complex topics and making them relatable and timely.
* Strong editorial judgment, including news-gathering and reporting skills.
* An understanding of SEO and what makes print and video stories clickable online.
* Creative thinker with an eye for design and layout, as well as the ability to think across multiple platforms of communication.
* High collaboration skills, especially when working/brainstorming with business stakeholders and other cross-discipline program team members.
* Ability to contribute through the entire life cycle of a project, from rough concepts to execution.
* Ability to take ownership of projects, as well as willingness to step in and be hands on to help others as needed
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
