CPA/Tax Accountant

Job Description:

NY Accounting Office is looking to hire an Accountant/CPA based out of their Staten Island, NY or Boca Raton, FL office.  

Tax preparation and consultation, financial statement audits and consulting services.

Staff Accountant Job Duties include:

• Participates in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports;
• Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses;
• Performs various tests of assets, liabilities, revenues, expenditures and others accounts;
• Prepares Spreadsheets relevant to audit assignment;
• Communicates with clients concerning audit matters after consultation with supervisor;
• Prepares federal and state tax returns for review; and

Job Requirements:

Requisite Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be CPA;
• Knowledge of Partnerships, Corporations & Personal Tax returns
• Understanding of detailed concepts of accounting;
• Ability to analyze data quickly from a variety of sources;
• Ability to gain and maintain confidence of clients;
• Understanding of operations of local governments; and
• Familiarity with a wide variety of PC based software including WP, spreadsheet, and database.
