Job Description:
Duties:
Assist attorneys in preparing, proofreading and revising legal documents
Heavy organization and management of electronic documents
E-filing in State and Federal courts in New York
Submission of new business intake and conflicts checks
Scheduling travel, appointments and meetings
Maintaining attorneys’ calendars and contact lists
Time entry and billing
Backup coverage for other LAAs when out of office
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Minimum of five to seven years of litigation experience
Intellectual Property experience preferred
Candidate must be experienced with State and Federal court procedures/requirements and e-filing
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and document management systems; iManage a plus
Must be proactive, flexible, and have excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on business needs is essential
