Job Description:
As a Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our firm’s brand, managing our website, social media platforms, and producing compelling video content. Your responsibilities will encompass individual awards and rankings, internal communications, external marketing initiatives, and liaising with our outside PR firm. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing and communications, preferably within the legal industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Awards and Rankings:
o Research and identify opportunities for individual awards and rankings relevant to the legal industry.
o Coordinate and prepare award submissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the firm’s brand and achievements.
o Track and report on award outcomes, leveraging successes for further marketing and recognition.
· Internal Communications:
o Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and information sharing via the firm's intranet.
o Oversee client alerts and write deal and other press announcements for the firm’s website and distribution to clients.
o Craft and distribute internal newsletters, announcements, and other communications materials.
o Work closely with the firm's CMBDO on various firm announcements and other ad hoc marketing and communications projects.
o Collaborate with various internal departments and leadership to support internal events, programs, and initiatives.
· Social Media Management:
o Manage and curate content for the firm’s social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
o Develop and execute social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
o Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content and strategy.
· Website Content Management:
o Help draft bios and oversee updates to the firm's website content, including practice group descriptions, attorney bios, and other relevant information.
o Ensure website content is accurate, up-to-date, and reflective of the firm’s brand and messaging.
o Coordinate with the IT team to implement content updates and enhancements.
· Liaison with PR Firm:
o Collaborate with our outside PR firm to develop and implement strategies to promote the firm and its brand.
o Coordinate media outreach efforts and press releases.
o Monitor and report on media coverage and PR campaign effectiveness.
· Video Production:
o Plan, script, and produce high-quality video content to showcase the firm’s expertise, culture, and achievements.
o Coordinate with external vendors or internal resources for video production needs.
o Ensure video content aligns with the firm’s branding and marketing objectives.
· Marketing Initiatives:
o Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the firm’s services and expertise.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to create marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and newsletters.
o Assist in organizing and promoting events, webinars, and seminars.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the legal industry or professional services.
· Strong understanding of social media platforms and strategies.
· Proficiency in video production and editing software.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Creative and strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with award and ranking submissions in the legal or professional services industry.
· Familiarity with internal communication tools and platforms.
· Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
· Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
