Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Client Events, Conferences, Speaking Engagements and Sponsorships

  1. Working closely with partners and members of the Marketing Department to conceptualize and source ideas and venues for client events
  2. Coordinating with appropriate venues, vendors and internal stakeholders regarding all aspects of events, including budgets, timelines, program materials, logistics, invitations, nametags, handouts, signage, promotional items, catering, AV set-up, booking of appropriate rooms/layout, etc
  3. Assisting with third-party events in conjunction with speaking engagements, sponsorships and outside organizations
  4. Identifying and securing external conference speaking opportunities for attorneys by monitoring event calendars, trade and legal publications, competitor websites and business news
  5. Maintaining California events calendar

Marketing and Business Development Support

  1. Maintaining website pages, attorney biographies and pitch materials for assigned offices and practices
  2. Assisting with coordination and production of promotional materials for pitches
  3. Working on and overseeing production of marketing requests such as newsletters, ads and invitations, in conjunction with the Graphic Designers where appropriate
  4. Coordinating attorney photo shoots, including all logistics
  5. Preparing various marketing reports; maintaining spreadsheets for tracking and management purposes
  6. Working with business development team to manage activities and experience of attorneys, including development of business plans and assisting with tracking and follow-up of new business opportunities
  7. Supporting business development projects and other Firm initiatives as needed

Communications and Public Relations

  1. Assisting the Communications Team with award, ranking and directory submissions and related promotion for assigned offices and practices
  2. Identifying relevant awards and recognitions for assigned offices and practices
  3. Maintaining California awards and rankings calendar




Job Requirements:

Desired Qualifications

* 2+ years' experience supporting marketing, events or related teams in a professional services setting

* Highly organized and strong attention to detail and accuracy - must be able to work in a thorough, diligent and proactive manner

* Exceptional time and project management skills; ability to prioritize and work within tight deadlines

* Strong writing skills, including experience drafting award nominations and directory submissions

* Experience planning and executing events

* Instinct to leverage available resources and technology to meet the needs of the role and improve processes

* Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

* Experience with InterAction and Vuture a plus
