Job Description:
Main responsibilities
Professional Development
- Plan new associate orientation and other multi-day learning & development programs for all US offices;
- Manage training programs, which includes: communicating with attorney presenters & outside consultants and coordinating conference rooms, catering and videoconferencing etc.
- Manage and support attorneys utilizing and accessing available Research & Business Intelligence and Learning & Organizational Development resources, including working with the Global Research & Business Intelligence teams to maintain US resources and send communications promoting the available resources to the US-based attorneys.
- Ensure all US attorneys remain in compliance with bar admission by coordinating quarterly audits, maintain compliance in accordance with US internal policies;
- Monitor CLE requirements for all attorneys and give advice about their CLE compliance, research CLE opportunities and maintain CLE database;
- Coordinate CLE programs, including credit coordination, evaluation and presentation material needs for all attorneys admitted to practice in the US;
- Coordinate program evaluations; compile and analyze feedback and recommend improvements as needed;
- Oversee the day-to-day assignments and work allocation for all summer associates;
- Ensure all US attorneys and staff complete mandatory and ongoing learning at relevant career points in accordance with internal policies;
- Any additional responsibilities as required.
Duties including but not limited to:
Recruitment
- Execute law student and lateral attorney recruiting; coordinate in-office interviews for all associate candidates including managing approvals, advertising roles, direct sourcing candidate (LinkedIn etc), and managing third party relationships, CV mail;
- Collaborate with UK based recruitment team to ensure consistent employee experience and collaborate with local business services teams across all US offices remotely and in person;
- Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform managers about changes in regulations applying changes to processes where necessary;
- Manage all aspects of the summer associate program, including attendance at summer program events and trainings;
- Manage robust orientation, onboarding and integration process for entry-level, lateral associates and business services;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with various law school careers services personnel to facilitate the Firm's recruiting efforts;
- Manage resume collections and interview process; plan follow-up events and law school outreach programs;
- Any additional responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements:
Essential skills and experience
- Minimum of 4 years managing professional development and recruiting, in a law firm environment;
- BA/BS required;
- Demonstrated interest in professional development and recruitment;
- Experience using Learning Management Systems;
- Highly self-motivated, energetic, self-starter, positive, flexible attitude; collaborator;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to take initiative, complete projects independently and juggle multiple priorities;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build credibility and trust;
- Excellent judgment, professionalism, leadership, organization and time management skills;
- Strong project management experience working as part of cross-functional, global matrixed teams, HR preferred;
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and project a strong and positive image of the Firm; excellent client service skills.
- Strong data analysis skills; able to use technology to find solutions that drive efficiency and excellence in planning and implementation processes;
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new software applications, including generative AI applications.
- Proficiency in the use of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required; knowledge of CLE tracking system preferred; experience in the database program Simplicity. applicant tracking system, LinkedIn Recruiter
