Job Description:


In this capacity, the Recognitions Manager will:


* Elevate the firm's recognitions content strategy and implementation to contribute to the firm's overall growth strategy;

* Conduct high-level content strategy meetings with leaders across the firm in preparation for Chambers and Legal 500 guide submissions;

* Cultivate a culture of information sharing working in close collaboration with colleagues across the Business Development, Strategic Pursuits, and Practice teams;

* Form relationships with submissions editors and researchers;

* Oversee and manage the content development of external consultants;

* Help set best practices for creating submissions-ready descriptions for PR and Communications and Business Development peers;

* Prepare and oversee the preparation of materials for recognitions-related interviews;

* Serve as an editor/writer for submissions, ensuring all involved have a clear understanding of deadlines, and are given ample time to create compelling submissions;

* Create compelling descriptions of our client work for submissions; and

* Track and benchmark the firm's recognitions activities against strategic competitors.



Job Requirements:


The ideal candidate should possess:

* An in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of Chambers and Legal 500 and the factors which impact rankings within and across categories;

* Superb stakeholder management skills;

* Outstanding written and oral communication;

* Good judgement, critical thinking, and creative problem solving;

* A high level of customer service orientation; and,

* Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects and deadlines.


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or international equivalent (required);

* At least 7 years of writing experience (required);

* At least 7 years of project management experience (required);

* At least 5 years of editing experience (required);

* At least 3 years of experience with Chambers and/or Legal 500 submissions (required);

* Advanced proficiency in English language, punctuation, spelling, grammar and writing skills;

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

* Advanced proficiency in internet research and resources (Lexis Nexis, MediaMap);

* Advanced proficiency in project management;

* Advanced knowledge of the relevant surveys, rankings, directories; and

* Fundamental knowledge of legal concepts.
