Job Description:

• Coordinate and perform calendaring functions, which may include some or all of the following: maintaining a calendar of litigation deadlines for all contested matters utilizing a firm-approved calendaring program, and regularly communicating deadlines to firmwide litigation teams using the best available means. Preparing additional calendar reports upon request. Adhering to firm wide best practices in calendaring.

• Daily docketing of firmwide matters in firm calendar.

• Perform case audits from calendar system.

• Respond to requests for data on all matters in firm calendar.

• Work with the Assistant Managing Attorney with calendar training and workshops.

• Support the firm-wide paralegal group with all calendaring and case related needs.

• Research all local, state, federal and administrative rules as requested.

• Complete court filings – including traditional (paper) filings and electronic filings.

• Act as liaison between case teams and vendors regarding service of process and coordination of delivery/retrieval of documents from courts.

• Coordinate or serve as project manager for special projects within the department on an as-needed basis.

• Review, for form and procedural compliance, documents served and filed by the Firm.

• Keep abreast of developments, procedures, and rules in the forums where the firm practices including general state and federal practice.

• Maintain and update various department resources.

• All other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements:


• Available to work overtime, as required.

• 3+ years of previous intake, electronic court filing and litigation docketing experience along with the proven ability to operate at an elevated level in terms of scope of responsibility, judgement and autonomy.

• Proficient in Compulaw or other rules based docketing systems.

• Proficient with online court systems (PACER, NYSCEF).

• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

• Ability to work within a team and collaborate.

• Capable of managing multiple projects, tasks and remain organized while prioritizing and delegating work.

• Capacity to handle sensitive material and maintain confidentiality.

• Competence to work well in a demanding fast-paced environment.

• Exercise independent sound judgment.

Education And Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Minimum of three years' related experience
