JOB SUMMARY:
The senior manager of administrative services oversees a team of managers and supervisors as part of the firm’s global administrative support team. This individual is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency and efficiency of services provided by legal executive assistants in the Boston office, and collaborates with administrators in the New York office and other firm offices to ensure appropriate administrative support for all day-to-day and special project needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-Supervises administrative manager/supervisor team in the Boston office to ensure consistency in service levels, policies and procedures.
-Oversees recruitment of legal executive assistants
-Identifies ongoing training needs, participates in training program development and provides ongoing training to legal executive assistants
-Develops and implements new programs—including those involving the incorporation of new technology or other advancements—as industry trends or developments warrant
-Advises managers on employee relations issues
-Collaborates with all administrative departments to onboard new lawyers of all levels and assists with the transition of lawyers leaving the firm
-Works with the director of administrative services to develop administrative plans affecting support provided by legal executive assistants
-Participates in a local network of law firm peers to ensure awareness of industry trends

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Bachelor’s degree.
-Minimum of 8 years supervisory/management experience in a mid to large law firm or professional services organization.
-Strong organizational, communication (written and oral), interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to coach and mentor others.
-Excellent computer skills, including MS Office suite proficiency.
